Letter to James Cossar Ewart from BL Seawell, a former pupil of his at the University of Edinburgh from 1890-1892. He is now teaching biology at a State Normal School in Warrensburg, Missouri, where he has recently been doing general botany and zoology research. In particular he has been investigating the ecological relations of the life-forms of a series of small freshwater lakes in the area. He would like to know how he might go about studying for the degree of Doctor of Science From the University of Edinburgh. |
