Scope and Content |
This file of unbound pages contains numerous advertisements, including a book proposal in British zoology, publisher's lists of offerings (an English one from 1833 and a French one from 'Messidor, an XIII', which is to say, July, 1805), and painted dioramas and physioramas of such events as the overcoming of the natives in Felix Harbor, 1830, and Belshazzar's Feast, rather earlier. Other topics include rearing poultry by steam, emancipation of German women, trips through the Pyrenees, publications in nature, mythology, and metaphysics and tableaux from France. There is a memorandum to distinguish the things in the University Museum belonging to Dr Walker, and various other catalogue sheets. Lastly there come numerous bills and accounts from booksellers, many of them German. |
