Folder holds copies of L'Institut (1848), the Journal de physique, de chimie et d'histoire naturelle (1820), and Der deutsche Beobachter (1814), and domestic publications, like the Report by the Managers of the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (1818) and A Journal of Natural Philosophy, Chemistry, and the Arts (1802). Illustrations form a little group at the end of this file. One is a comic portrait of a young 'hermit', identity not clear, another is a diagram of coal deposits in Gloucestershire, and others appear to be a landscape and some technical drawings of machinery.
