Biographical History	Sir Archibald Geikie corresponded with a number of people both socially and professionally. Sir William Turner (1832-1916) was professor of anatomy at the University of Edinburgh and later principal. George Charles Wallich (1815-1899) was a naturalist with a particular interest in oceans. James Clifton Ward (1843-1880) worked for the Geological Survey.
