Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from Thomas C Hick in which he expresses his appreciation of Bower's recent article on the fern Lepidostrobus brownii and his interest in Bower's "effort to introduce a more rational mode of describing the cortical tissues of Lepidodendron" [fern]. He suggests that Bower should do a complete overhaul of this area of research which he believes would be of great use to modern and fossil botanists.
