Scope and Content |
Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from William Henry Lang mentioning that he had managed to get hold of Schale's paper and remarks that it looks "as if we are in for a spell of dichotomy interpretation." He also discusses a scheme underway in the University of Manchester to provide vice-chancellors from professors of departments within the university and the implications for the botany department. The scheme was piloted in the department with Weiss becoming vice-chancellor for 3 years, he has been so successful in this post that the scheme looks set to continue and Lang is worried about the implications this might have for research in the department. He marks this entire passage as confidential. |
