Scope and Content |
Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from William Henry Lang thanking him for his advice about the presidency and vice-presidency of the British Association for the Advancement of Science and informing him that he had nominated Sir Arthur George Tansley for President and Richard Henry Yapp for Vice-President. He also discusses staffing problems in his department, he is taking a hand in demonstrating, and the request by Robert Kidston for him to take the place of David Thomas Gwynne-Vaughan in their joint research which was cut short by the death of Gwynne-Vaughan. Lang states that he has made it clear that he cannot take the place of Gwynne-Vaughan but that he is willing to carry on the research. |
