Scope and Content |
Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from Abercrombie Anstruther Lawson enclosing a paper by George Percy Darnell-Smith (not attached) who has also discovered the prothallus of Psilotum independantly of Lawson. Lawson feels he should share in the discovery and has therefore forwarded on George Percy Darnell-Smith's paper before his own. He remarks that he is anxious for both Darnell-Smith's paper and his own on the subject to appear in the same series of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. He describes Darnell-Smith as a graduate student in his own department and informs Bower that this paper will form a part of his DSc thesis. |
