Scope and Content |
Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from Alex MacKay thanking Bower for the letter and present. He reminisces about his time in the department remarking that sometimes he wishes he was back there. He refers to events in the past in the botany department and wonders whether his feelings about them led him to take the post in Canada. He remarks that he felt his character to be blackened and ridiculed, despite Bower and his other colleagues in the department vouching for him, and could not content himself with police dealings as was necessary in such a case. He refers to the dismissal of a university plumber and enquires of Bower as to whether he know if this had anything to do with the incidents. |
