Scope and Content

Scope and Content

Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from Robert Colquhoun McLean in which he informs Bower that he has just read his Presidential address to the meeting of section K of the British Association for the Advancement of Science which took place in Australia in 1914 and he remarks that he was particularly interested in Bower's comments on the future of angiosperms as Bower's views accorded with his own. He informs Bower that he and AS Marsh were engaged in research on the group of ramales and going through the comparative morphology of all the parts. He asks Bower for advice on ways to make the experiments more serviceable and remarks that everyone in the department at the University of Reading are very concerned about David Thomas Gwynne-Vaughan as he seems very run down.
