Scope and Content |
Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from Robert John Harvey-Gibson in which he informs Bower that he has just beeen speaking with his assistant, Miss Knight who has stated that she does not want to remain at the University of Liverpool once he retires. He wonders if Bower might have a vacancy for her and expands on her qualifications for the post. He has a first class BSc and is an admirable teacher and artist. He tells Bower that her strong points are sea weed and physiology. He wonders, however, if the salary might be difficult as she is on a higher amount than she might expect to receive from the University of Glasgow. |
