Scope and Content |
Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from Abercrombie Anstruther Lawson explaining his delay in replying to Bower. He has been overworked and took a trip to Tasmania to recuperate. He refers to the size of classes and workload both he and John McLuckie have to deal with. McLukie's salary is far in excess of what he could earn in Britain and they both feel they are advancing botanical science in Australia. Lawson enquires about Patrick Brough, from the same class as McLukie, and would like to ask him to join his staff if it were possible. He asks for Bower's assistance on this. He also extends thanks Bower for work done. |
