Scope and Content |
Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from John McLuckie regarding Bower's boxes which have been despatched from Sydney but have failed to arrive, despite the shipping agent having proof of their arrival in Britain. He belives Abercrombie Anstruther Lawson has forwarded the documentation to Bower. He describes what he has been collecting for Bower and that he has it in a good condition for developmental and anatomical work. He also describes the research work he has been doing. He will forward some quite soon and the remainder later. The new location in the Macleay Museum affords greater facilities than before, including well equipped laboratories and private rooms. He mentions his lecturing and other aspects of his work at the University of Sydney and the fact that he is still waiting for some apparatus from London, forcing him to design something simpler in the meantime. He discusses various aspects of the war, including the concentration camps in Germany and the Russian offensive. |
