Scope and Content |
Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from Sir Isaac Bayley Balfour in which he espresses surprise that Robert Chapman Davie thinks he has forgotten his offer of support in job hunting and states that if Davie had thought he had forgotten, he should have reminded him He also states that Davie has never asked him for a testimonial and that he has heard nothing from him since he went to France. He tells Bower that he has written to the High Commission for United South Africa in support of Davie and has also spoken to Sir John Bretland Farmer about him. He comments on Bower's health and remarks that it is good news about the Lang-Kidston work. |
