Scope and Content |
Circular from Cameron Roberts of the Glasgow branch of the Worker's Educational Association regarding a programme of tutorial classes it is organising for the coming winter. They are looking for lecturers to teach their own and/or related ones and they also desire to secure co-operation from both the Local Education Authority and from the University of Glasgow. Enclosed are 2 leaflets, one being 'The University Tutorial Movement', an address given by Albert Mansbridge, former General Secretary of the Worker's Educational Association to the Congress of the Universities of the Empire in 1912 and the other detailing the methods and organisation of the Worker's Educational Association. Bower has annotated the letter 'general sympathy but not active cooperation'. |
