Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from Sir Arthur George Tansley in reply to Bower's regarding Tansley's 'Manifesto'. Tansley stresses that the essence of the case he is putting forward is that 'the centre of interest in elementary teaching is wrong'. He is appreciative of Bower's contributions to botany, including the teaching of physiology and the splitting of botany in 1894-1895. |
