Scope and Content

Scope and Content

Letter to Frederick Orpen Bower from Margaret Benson apologising for the delay in replying to Bower's letter and promising to send a copy of her paper as soon as she can. She suggests that Bower should look through it before he sees the specimens and that he should read a paper of hers which was published in the Annals of Botany Volume XVIII (1904) which describes the main characteristics of the sporangia which she also discusses in the new paper. She describes two new characteristics of the new sporangia which are that it has central loculi as well as peripheral and it underwent wet dehiscence and did not split septicidally. She states that she is looking forward to seeing Bower at Royal Holloway College soon.
