Biographical History |
After developing his photographs, William Speirs Bruce collected together those of a similar theme. This series includes: a set of photographs of giant petrels or "nellies" who had been feeding on a seal carcass at Scotia Bay (Laurie Island, South Orkney Islands), oestrellata photographed between Gough Island and Capetown on the SY Scotia's return journey and adeliae penguins in a rookery at Graptolite Island off Laurie Island (South Orkney Islands). |
